Child Behavioral Development
TK for Faith & Community
St. Barbara Catholic School offers a full-time Transitional Kindergarten (TK) to support the development and growth of young learners. This program is available to students who are 4 years old by September 1st.
Our TK class is fully involved in the school faith community. TK students attend Mass and prayer services and participate in school-wide service projects. The goal of TK is to provide a fun, positive, small-group setting that encourages a love of learning, develops a sense of community, and prepares your child for kindergarten in a faith-filled environment. This is achieved through a combination of developmental, multi-sensory, academic, and social experiences.

What are the Benefits of TK?
The morning is filled with a multitude of centers and activities. Circle time and small group instruction in religion, language arts, and math readiness are all incorporated into the daily curriculum. Like the offerings for our older grades, physical education, art, library, and computer time are also incorporated into the curriculum. The highly respected Superkids curriculum is taught, enhancing the language arts program.
Children must be 4 years old by September 1 of their TK year.
